Will You Hashtag Your Wedding, Or Ban Social Media? Both Sides Of The Coin.

Friday, May 23, 2014 | Jewelry Worry Free Weddings

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting married this weekend, and despite her affection for the spotlight, she’s decided to ban posting on social media by her guests. Allegedly, the couple has gone so far as to have contracts drawn up.

“The contract bans guests from uploading anything on social media, taking any pictures and even talking about the big day with friends and family who weren’t invited to the wedding”, a source reveals to the Daily Star.

On the flip side, a recent survey done by David’s Bridal reveals that fewer than 15% of brides would go so far as to ban the use of social media on their big day. The W Hotel in New York even offers a “Social Media Wedding Concierge.” According to the W, “the concierge will also be responsible for creating a ‘wedding blog’ leading up to the big day, as well as posting Vines and Instagrams under your special hashtag. Just be sure to remind them that you prefer the ‘Mayfair’ filter.”

Get Inspired And Creative With Your Wedding Logo

Wednesday, April 16, 2014 | Worry Free Weddings

If you ever practiced writing your first name and his last name in the margins of your notebooks in high school, you’ve already got a little bit of experience with wedding logo design. No, really! Jack + Jill, J&J, Jill Hill, Mrs. Jack Hill, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Hill… Now you’re all grown up and you’ve found The One, no more scribbling! Except… One of the first things you’ll want to start thinking about when planning your big day is your wedding logo (sometimes referred to as a wedding monogram). It’s the first impression made on your guests of the tone you’re setting for the big day. Is the feel you’re going for with your wedding planning whimsical? Classic? Modern? Your logo should encapsulate that feeling, without competing with the other elements that pull everything together.

Worry Free Weddings: The Bachelor Party

Throw in the fact that you’re (traditionally) celebrating your “last night of freedom”, and you just might wake up missing a tooth or with a boxer’s pet tiger in the bathroom of your hotel room. Stranger things have happened.

Your best man is responsible for orchestrating the shenanigans, but don’t feel you can’t throw your two cents in. This is about giving you the night of your life… until your wedding night, that is.
