Because your jewelry is unique as are the issues surrounding any damage, loss, or theft of your jewelry, the repair or replacement process will be specific to you and your claim. To start a claim, please contact us. One of our claims representatives will guide you through the repair or replacement process. In some cases we will work directly with the jeweler to handle payment. In others we will reimburse you directly for your payment to the jeweler. Whether you choose to work with your own jeweler or one of our preferred jewelers, you will have an opportunity to approve the repair work or replacement before the claim is complete.
Our goal is to ensure that in the unfortunate event that your jewelry is lost, stolen, or damaged, you are satisfied with the repair or replacement you receive. When insured through Lavalier, you may work with your jeweler or one of our preferred jewelers, who will personalize the repair or replacement process to you and your jewelry. Should you choose to work with one of our preferred jewelers, the process, where appropriate, will include an opportunity to review sketches, computer-aided diagrams or physical prototypes before work on your jewelry begins.
You may either cover the additional cost yourself or choose a repair or replacement that has a retail value equal to your coverage limit. To help avoid “underinsurance” we recommend that you regularly check the value of your insured jewelry by having a qualified jeweler inspect it.
Name brand jewelry may be repaired or replaced by the name brand jeweler who originally produced it. If, for any reason, repair or replacement by that name brand jeweler is not possible or you prefer not to work with that jeweler, you are welcome to work with one of our preferred jewelers instead.

If something happens to your insured jewelry, contact us as soon as possible. If your jewelry was stolen or you believe it might have been, also contact the local police as soon as possible. Remember that through Lavalier your jewelry is covered for repair or replacement due to loss, theft, or damage. Our expert claims representatives will work with you to resolve your claim as quickly and thoroughly as possible. We will help you work with your jeweler (including name brand jewelers) to repair or replace your jewelry to the same state it was before being damaged, lost, or stolen.
Coverage purchased through Lavalier provides repair or replacement of your jewelry with like kind and quality, meaning that your jewelry will be returned as closely as possible to the same state it was before being damaged, lost, or stolen. Whether you choose to work with your own jeweler or one of our preferred jewelers, you will have an opportunity to approve the repair work or replacement before the claim is complete.
